Children's Liturgy of the Word: Prepares to share and initiates the celebration of the Liturgy of the Word with our young people. We cover the Sunday Gospel and readings at a level the children can understand and enjoy. We also have the young people participate in the Christmas pageant, Stations of the Cross for children, and other liturgical celebrations. Our goal is to make the children's experience of church meaningful, while help them to grow in the Catholic faith.
CHILDREN'S LITURGY RESUMES
The Children's Liturgy of the Word will resume this weekend, and all children are welcome to participate during the 9:30 am Mass at Saint Peter's. After the opening prayer, the priest will invite the Children to come forward and they will be led to the lower church for the Liturgy of the Word. They will hear the same readings and will have a discussion about the Gospel at their level. Parents are welcome to accompany young children and those who are nervous. The children will return upstairs around the time of the offertory and return directly to you.
Currently, Children's Liturgy takes place during the 9:30 AM mass at Saint Peter's throughout the school year, with a break during the summer months. The children process to the lower church during the Liturgy of the Word, there they read and discuss the Sunday Scripture.

Greeters may also be asked to assist with the distribution of hymnals and bulletins.
