A living faith doesn’t stay in the pew, it mobilizes you to act. The fourth invitation of the Year of Parish Revival is a call to send missionaries to go out and share the goodness of Our Lord. This is accomplished in two primary ways: |
EVANGELIZATION |
This year, the Revival begins to take on a more external focus that will culminate in the Year of Mission. In the Parish Year, all engaged Catholics are invited to do something simple: reach just one person with the message of Jesus’ Eucharistic love. Such a small act of love, if multiplied across the country many millions of times can surely be powerful in this year of Revival! Not sure how to share the message of Christ’s love? We are compiling resources that will equip you to embrace this call. |
RECOMMITMENT TO THE POOR |
A Eucharistic life naturally pours outward. As we receive Christ’s gift of his very self, we are moved to give of ourselves in imitation of Christ. In this Year of Parish Revival, take the time to discern some new and unique ways you can bless those on the margins. Looking for ways to live your faith out in the world? The Corporal and Spiritual Works of Mercy are a beautiful model for how we can respond to the needs of humanity as disciples of Christ.
